What you will Need

Pack of pre-rolled puff pastry

1/2 Jar of green pesto

50g of feta cheese

Pinch of pepper

1 Small egg – beaten

How to Make

Take a sheet of pre-rolled puffy pastry and leave it out for 10 mins to warm up, this will make it easier to unfold.

Spread a generous layer of green pesto over the pastry and then sprinkle with the feta.

Starting on the longest edge, slowly and carefully roll the pastry inwards until you reach the middle. Repeat on the other side.

Cut your roll of palmier’s into 1cm thick slices, I managed to get around 34 out of mine.

Place on a lined baking tray and brush with some beaten egg, grind some black pepper on top then place in the oven for 15 minutes, turn the tray around half way through.

Take out the oven when nice and golden and leave to cool on a wire rack.

These tasty little bites are perfect for a Christmas fuddle or New Year banquet. Tag me if you make them, use @i_heart_maggie  for Instagram or @IHeart_Maggie on twitter.
