Quick Handmade Christmas Card

There’s nothing quite like receiving a handmade Christmas card but when it comes to making them it can be quite time-consuming if you have lots of friends and family.

The trick is to find a design that is fun and easy to repeat and can be made in batches, this card ticks all the boxes, so let’s get making, ideally in front of your favourite Christmas film with a mug of hot chocolate…bliss!

What you will Need

Dovecraft mini Kraft card blank

Dovecraft Puffy paint – in a few colours

Fine liner pen

Heat tool or hairdryer

How to Make

Take your card blank and using your fine liner draw three squiggly lines as shown.

Grab your puffy paint and squeeze out a line of paint, leaving a slight gap between the paint and the squiggly line.

Finish the light with a blob of black puffy paint to join it to the string.

Tip: You can just leave your project to dry like this if you don’t want to heat it.

Take a heat tool or hair dryer and gently heat the puffy paint, be amazed as it puffs up and grows to give you beautiful festive Christmas lights.

Stamp out your sentiment, I used this fun elf sentiment, cropping it down to just the text then stuck it to my card using foam squares.

This card is lovely and colourful for the festive season and will certainly impress your friends and family.

If you make these Christmas cards, I would love to see them so tag me on social media, @i_heart_maggie on Instagram or @IHeart_Maggie on twitter.
