Keep all your important notes and information in one safe place with this up-cycled clipboard.
Add a stylish touch to your clipboard with First Edition Deco Mache, I used two different patterns to get a contrasting look. Deco Mache is a great craft for all ages, it is super relaxing and looks beautiful once finished.
What you will Need
First Edition Deco Mache Papers
First Edition Deco Mache Glue in Matt
Paintbrush
Clipboards
Gold Spray Paint
A light paint – I used deco art in Whisper
How to Make
Firstly tape off the metal clip on the clipboard and spray with two layers of gold paint to give it an on-trend metallic finish. Leave to dry.
Paint the main body of the clipboard in a light colour, this will help show off the patterns and colours in the Deco Mache papers better, again leave to dry.
Rip the Deco Mache papers into workable pieces and start by painting a layer of glue, place down your paper and cover with another layer of glue, continue until the board is covered about 3/4’s of the way down.
Using the straight edge on a contrasting paper, glue down on an angle across the board, fill in the space below the line as before.
Spray a few mini bulldog clips with gold paint so they match and glue to the board using a hot glue gun or strong adhesive.
You can also use your favourite washi tapes to attach items to your board, it will be easily removed from the varnished surface.
