Have you heard about paint scraping? It’s a new trend in craft and I have to say I am a little obsessed! You can create unique pieces of art in a few easy steps, keep reading below to find out how!
What you will Need
Dovecraft Enamel Paints – A selection of colours
A blank canvas
An old credit card
How to Make
This craft is so easy to make, there really aren’t a lot of steps, however there are a lot of options in how your artwork can turn out if you mix up colours.
Take a blank canvas, roughly 8 x 10 inches in size, you can go bigger but remember you will need more paint.
I chose to use Pink, Orange, Yellow, blue and white in my design. Starting a few cm’s in from the edge of the canvas to give yourself a border, squeeze out your colours in the order you want them.
TIP: Remove the nozzle from the enamel paints to make it easier to squeeze the paint out.
Take an old credit card or store card and put it to the left hand side of your paint blobs. Using gentle pressure drag the card across the canvas, remember to leave the same size border on the right hand side.
Wipe your credit card after each drag across the canvas, work your way down the canvas until you reach the bottom.
TIP: Wipe the excess paint onto plain card and you can use it for card making at a later date.
Leave the canvas to dry, ideally overnight. You can then hang your new wall art in your home.
You can change the design by where you place the paint blobs and by using different colours. This craft will also work well for card making and papercraft projects.
