If you are looking for a home decor craft to try over the Christmas holidays, this fun star wall hanging is super easy to make and can be used for a whole number of occasions.
What you will Need
10 lolly pop sticks
Gold spray paint
Alphabet punch board or Die-cut letters
Twine
Hot glue gun & small hole punch
How to Make
Take two of your lolly pop sticks and use the hot glue gun to stick them together as shown, then glue the 5 pieces together to make a star.
If you are unsure of the angle then build the star before gluing so you can see the way they will all go together.
Time to spray your star shape, I chose gold but you can obviously make it any colour your like to fit your colour theme, give it one coat on the front and when dry also spray the back.
I made my star wall hanging as a gift for a new born baby girl so I chose to die-cut her name, then it can be used as a decoration in her nursery. You can chose whatever quote you would like, just make sure it will sit in the star shape. If you use the We R Memory keepers mini alphabet punch then 5 or 6 letters will fit perfectly.
Punch small holes into the top of your letters, use two holes if the letter shape allows, this will help the words balance properly. Thread the letters onto some twine, make sure you have extra twine to be able to tie the words onto the star.
See how easy this craft is to make, you can also use the lolly pop sticks to make other shapes like triangles and hexagons.
