Up-cycled Handbag DIY Tutorial

I saw a handbag on the Topshop website the other day, it was covered with lots of pearls, it got me thinking this would be a fab way to use the new pearls and gems from the Simply Creative range.

How to Make

This DIY tutorial is really easy to make and will take no time at all, firstly ensure your handbag is clean and dry.

Starting with the 6mm pearls, remove the sticky adhesive from the back and discard. Add a small amount of glue to the back and dot them around the bag. You might want to layout the gems before sticking them down.

Repeat the step with the 10mm gems and fill the gaps. These Gems are only £1 a pack and you won’t need many for this project depending on the size of your bag. They are great for other craft projects so won’t go to waste.

Take the sparkly silver star gems and finish off embellishing your handbag, these will add a bit of definition from the ivory pearls. Leave the bag to dry

I told you this tutorial was super easy to make, you can try it on other items like purses, phone cases and more.
