3 Easy Father’s Day Card Ideas

First Edition Grand Plans

Father’s Day is just around the corner, it seems to have snuck up on me this year and I feel very under-prepared. If you are in the same boat you might appreciate these easy to make card ideas.

Trimcraft have just released these fab Grand Plans First Edition papers. Designed by illustrator Jessica Hogarth they feature cool designs like records, printed t-shirts and vintage cars plus loads of trendy repeat patterns.

What you will Need

12”x12” First Edition Grand Plans Papers

Dovecraft Card Blanks

Double-sided tape & foam tape

We R Memory Mini Alphabet Punch Board

Scissors

Twine

Fineliner

Simply Creative Black Glitter Alphabet Stickers

How to Make – Aeroplane Dad Card 

First Edition Grand Plans

Take a 5″x7″ card blank and draw a free-hand border using black fine-liner. Punch out the word DAD using your mini alphabet punch or you can also cut them out with scissors.

First Edition Grand Plans

Use foam tape to stick down the cut out dad letters in a diagonal row. Cut four paper aeroplanes out of the patterned paper in the pad and stick to the card with more foam tape.

How to Make – Relax It’s Your Day Card

Cut a piece of the gorgeous triangle card with gem effect detail to 14.5 x 14.5 cms and stick to the centre of a 6″x6″ Kraft card blank using foam tape.

Take one of the record designs from the paper pad and cut into 4, stick them onto each corner using foam tape. Add your sentiment using adhesive alphabet stickers.

How to Make – Favourite Things Bunting Card

Cut a piece of green card to 11.5 x 17 cms and stick to a white 5″x7″ card blank using double-sided tape. Add two lengths of twine to the top and middle of the card, let the ends stick over the sides of the card slightly.

Cut out some icons from the papers including the t-shirts, beer bottles, watches and records, stick along the twine with double-sided tape. Finish with a Dad sentiment in the bottom right corner.
