Making your own Christmas decorations is a lot easier than you think and there is always a great satisfaction of admiring your hand-made creations. Today I will show you how to make a festive jingle bell wreath.
What you will Need
Dovecraft Jingle Bells in Gold and Silver (I used 3 packs)
Twine
Dovecraft Magic and Sparkle Silver Glitter Ribbon
Empty Dovecraft Perma-Fix Roll or n hoop would also work.
How to Make
I am a big fan of up-cycling and reusing so the base for this wreath comes from the leftover plastic roll you get at the end of your Perma-fix double-sided tape.
Take your plastic hoop and tape a small strip of perma-fix tape to the hoop, wrap around some twine several times until it is secure.
Tip: Don’t use too much twine at a time as it will get tangled with all the threading, use shorter lengths and tie extra lengths on as you need it.
Start threading your jingle bells onto the twine mix it up between the colour and size of your bells to add interest.
Work your way around the hoop ensuring you keep the twine tight, every now and again wrap the twine through the bells to secure and keep the tension tight.
Before you complete your hoop of jingle bells, take a 12 inch length of ribbon, loop though to attached the ribbon the hoop, continue to add jingle bells, covering the ribbon as you go.
Tie the ribbon into a knot at the top ready to hang.
These wreaths look fab on your Christmas tree, when shook the sound of festive cheer fills the house. I love the two-tone effect you get from mixing the gold and silver bells.
