If you love quirky accessories then these DIY earrings will be right up your street. Easy to make these took less than 10 minutes to create. You can have hours of fun playing with different shape combinations.
What you will Need
Faux leather material
Cutting Die of your choice
Die cutting machine
Earring Stud Blanks
Dovecraft Ultimate Glue – Clear
How to Make
- Die cut the faux leather material using your chosen die shape, I used the heart dies from Dovecraft. I chose to layer two heart shapes to add a bit of interest.
- Glue your two layers together, don’t use too much glue as you don’t want it to seep out, leave to dry.
- Add some glue to the flat part of your earring blank and stick to the back of the faux leather, again leave to dry. Make sure you glue the back at the same point on each earring so they are even when worn.
You could decorate with gems for a bit of sparkle, but I preferred to keep mine simple. There are so many die cuts that would work well for earrings including stars, flowers and leaves. These you make great gifts for your friends and family.
