I was playing around with the new Dovecraft dies the other day, and created this fun embroidery hoop piece. You probably can’t fail to notice, Cacti are very on-trend right now so this is a great tutorial to make for your home.

Cover the back of some foam with double sided tape then die cut two cacti from the foam. Cut the plant pot off the bottom and stick the foam shapes together. Mount the cactus onto a stamping block.

Paint a layer of green fabric paint over the cactus and stamp into the middle of your fabric, repeat the steps and stamp two more cacti either side.

Once dry, pop the fabric into the embroidery frame. Take your cotton, I used a different green on the middle cactus for definition. Sew a running stitch around the edge of the stamped images.
