Trimcraft Christmas Bloggers Day

I’m not sure how it was nearly a month ago since the Trimcraft Christmas bloggers day, but I thought it was time I did a little write up on the day. I have included some photos from the day as well as some projects I made for the decoration.

We had great fun getting ready for the bloggers day, not surprisingly it’s quite hard to buy Christmas props, decorations and themed accessories in July but with Amazon to the rescue we had festive deliveries pretty much every day!

Inspiration from good old Pinterest

We found some great ideas for a festive party on Pinterest including these super snowmen popcorn boxes and melted snow water labels, these added a bit of fun to the day.

The fireplace was a real highlight from the day, about a month before bloggers day I discussed my need for a festive centrepiece with Cat our fantastic Graphic designer. She created this masterpiece out of card and foam, I think she surpassed all my expectations, it was amazing.

We invited around 20 bloggers to the event, and we were pleased to see how keen they were to get festive in August. Quite a few crafters from the first bloggers day weren’t able to attend but we still had some familiar faces including The Crafty Gentleman (Mike), My Green Cow (Daisy) and Emma Jewell. Some new faces included Helen Griffin, Ms Paperlover (Grace) and Scrapbook Bex – Click on their names to see there accounts of the day. We were really grateful how far everyone has travelled for the day and to see everyone networking and making friends.

I had two of these!

Through out the day we had fun making wreath decorations, cards that will be donated to Charity, sew your own baubles and Christmas cracker gift boxes. I loved seeing how the crafters made such different projects from the same materials.

Looking slightly festive!

The Trimcraft Christmas collections were really well received. A firm favourite was the Dovecraft Time to Sparkle, a gorgeous black, gold and white collection featuring foil and glitter effects.

I had to make mince buys as you can’t buy them in August…go figure!

The Helz Cuppleditch Wonderland also won people over with its cuteness overload, the polar bears making snow angels will feature on many of my cards this year, they are adorable.

First Edition Merry Little Christmas is also one of my favourites with its modern twist on classic elements. Below is a card I made with the collection.
