Yay! it’s finally time for some Christmas crafts, brace yourself as it is going to get a whole lot festive around here! Working for a craft company we work on Christmas about 11 months of the year….it’s a good job I LOVE Christmas.
Over the next few weeks (there’s only 42 days until the big day eek!) I will be showing you some festive makes that can easily be made whether you’re a newbie or seasoned crafter.
What you will Need
Dovecraft A4 Gold Glitter Card
First Edition Nesting Star Die
Twine
Hole Punch
Square adhesive Foam Pads
How to Make
Using the largest nesting star die-cut 5 large stars out of the gold glitter card, you can obviously die-cut more if you want a longer garland but this one fits one my fireplace perfectly.
Die cut 3 of the second largest stars onto gold glitter card and use adhesive foam squares on the back, stick them in the centre of three of your larger stars. The foam squares will add depth to your garland.
Use a hole punch to make a hole on the left and right star points ready for threading.
Start threading your stars onto your twine, start with a layered star then follow with a plain star, repeat this until all the stars are on the twine.
TIP: I ironed my twine before I used it as it was all kinked from being folded.
I love a bit of sparkle at Christmas and this festive garland will look great in your home.
I would love to see your Christmas garlands on social media, tag @i_heart_maggie on Instagram or @IHeart_Maggie on twitter and happy reading.
