DIY Handmade Felt Holly Christmas Card

I have been using felt a lot recently on my Christmas crafts, mainly because it’s so versatile, this holly Christmas card is so simple to make and really festive too.

How to Make

Cut two holly leaves approximately 6cms long, use some green embroidery thread to sew a row of running stitch down the centre of each leave. Cut 3 red berries for each card. You could also use red buttons if you like.

Stamp your sentiment, I used the free stamps given away in an issue of  Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine , the stamps have a lovely calligraphy feel to them and they are quite large too so make a nice focal point.

Glue the felt elements down on the card as shown, I used a hot glue gun as it dries quicker than normal adhesive and doesn’t come through the fabric.

See how easy it is to create a festive handmade card, this card took no longer than 10 minutes to make and if making a few you can set up a little production line for each step.

As always, if you make this project let me know, I would love to see, tag @i_heart_maggie  for Instagram or @IHeart_Maggie on twitter.
