I always try and make my Christmas cards a little different each year, but it is still important to make sure they aren’t over complicated when you have to make them in bulk.
I love this 3D pop-up card idea, it’s really easy to make and fun for your friends and family to receive. I doubt they will have anything similar!
What you will Need
Dovecraft A4 Card – Green
Craft Knife & Cutting Mat
First Edition Swan Washi Tape
Kraft Card Blank
Simply Creative Star Gems
Sentiment
How to Make
Cut your green card so that it is 5mm smaller all the way round than your card blank. Take the craft knife and starting at the top create arrow head cuts roughly 7mm apart, make sure they get larger as you move down the card. Cut the bottom out of the last cut to make a triangle.
Cover the centre of your card blank with your chosen Washi tape design, this design isn’t festive but I like the contrast between the pink and the green. Stick the tree design down over the washi tape.
Stamp your sentiment onto card, cut out and stick under your tree design. I did think after it would have been cool to cut this into a pot design, so this is always an option for next time.
Finish your card with a few sparkly star gems, I chose a different colour for the top of the tree.
This festive card can easily be flattened for postage but will look lovely once fanned out for display. If you make it let me know, I would love to see, tag @i_heart_maggie for Instagram or @IHeart_Maggie on twitter.
